History

Since its founding in 1948, Puig Doria has been one of the most prestigious jewelry firms in our country.
Much against the wishes of Isidro Puig Boada, a renowned architect of the time and collaborator of Gaudí, his son José María Puig Doria decided to open a first jewelry workshop on Provenza Street.
His creativity led him to combine geometric and architectural forms, so present in his environment and training, with other influences such as Art Déco, Japonism, or more contemporary trends.
In 1969, he created the first line of silver jewelry and was the pioneer of this new concept in Spain. Since then, designs in this metal have appeared in his collections, being only the first of a series of new materials turned into ideals for jewelry, discovering along the way others such as coconut, titanium, ebony, and even eggshells, with which he recreated Gaudí's mosaics.
From that moment on, various exhibitions were held in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Osaka, and Nagoya, while the family dynasty obtained numerous awards that endorsed its prestige: among these, the “International Diamonds Award” shines, managing to be the first Spaniard to achieve such a prestigious prize; while for his pearl designs he won the “International Pearl Design Contest” in Tokyo on two consecutive occasions.
Puig Doria has been characterized by combining the precious and the trivial, the natural and the industrial, the exquisite and the mundane, thus establishing a new way of expressing luxury, sealing a discreet elegance in tune with modern times.
Sophistication and elegance are the hallmark of Puig Doria, in a new stage in which, through original designs, they harmonize such disparate elements as titanium, colored diamonds, or various stones. Only in this way does this firm continue to achieve highly exclusive and unique pieces combined with gold, in a return to romanticism and a subtle sensuality that does not, in the final analysis, forget sobriety.
Puig Doria creates exclusive pieces and, following the incorporation of a new generation, Cristina and Beth Puig Doria together with José María Puig Doria (son) continue to design collections that set trends in high jewelry.
